Disney is currently refurbishing the rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World. Scrims have been covering the interior of the resort for some time, but now they’ve been spotted on the exterior of the Contemporary Resort.

Unlike the current room refurbishment at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney hasn’t formally announced the changes at the Contemporary Resort. It’s believed theming from The Incredibles will be added to the rooms in a significant update.
The rooms aren’t the only areas being changed at the hotel. The Wave… of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be unavailable this summer as Disney makes changes ahead of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary on October 1.
We can’t help but wonder why Disney hasn’t discussed or announced the room refurbishment at this time. Are they trying to hedge against negative guest feedback by finishing the project before announcing it? The rumored inclusion of The Incredibles will inevitably be criticized. Are they saving it as a surprise for the 50th anniversary? There’s lots of possibilities.
Regardless, room updates are coming to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. For now we’ll just have to wait for Disney to formally reveal what they’ve been building.
