Test Track’s Canopy is Finally Gone at EPCOT

Updated:

It’s time to celebrate some news about the updated Test Track at EPCOT! The outdoor canopy at Test Track has been completely removed, restoring one of the original views of the attraction. Views of the ride building haven’t been unobstructed since the canopy was added for Test Track’s original opening in the late ’90s.

Big shoutout to DC Baker for once again taking some great pictures. These pictures also show that crews are already working on the attraction’s sign.

The updated Test Track, otherwise known as Test Track 3.0, will significantly update the ride for the first time since 2012. The updated concept aims to “celebrate todayโ€™s innovation while highlighting the past, present, and future.”

One of the few pieces of concept art for the new Test Track shows the outdoor view without the canopy, and previews what the new sign will look like.

Once it reopens in 2025, Test Track 3.0 will have new show scenes while still maintaining the elements that made Test Track one of the more thrilling rides at Disney World.
