As Disney theme park fans, we take churros very seriously. In our experience, Disneyland is the home of amazing churros. There’s a reason they have churro stands set up every 50 feet. And at Disney World? It’s just not the same. There’s a lot of bad churros out there.
Thankfully, there’s one spot in Disney World that has churros worth seeking out. The churros at Nomad Lounge in Disney’s Animal Kingdom are by far the best in all of Disney World. It’s not even close.
Nomad Lounge is located on Discovery Island near the walkway that connects to Pandora. It’s home to some great cocktails and small bites, but the path to great churros doesn’t require a reservation.
Disney recently added mobile ordering for Nomad Lounge, opening up an easier way to get one of the best-kept secrets in Disney World.
Previously, the old hack was to visit Nomad Lounge and let the cast member outside know want to make an order of churros to go. They’d lead you inside and have you stand to the side of the bar. A bartender would take your churro order, and direct you to sit in the area between the Nomad Lounge and Tiffin’s Restaurant. About 10ish minutes later you’d be chomping down on the best churros in Disney World.
So, what makes the churros at Nomad Lounge so special? First off, they’re gluten free. They’re also made-to-order, which guarantees they’re warm, crispy, and delectable. They’re also served with two dipping sauces. Disney switches these up, but we’ve had a vanilla sauce, a strawberry sauce, and a chocolate sauce in the past.
We simply can’t recommend these churros enough. Don’t fall victim to the wannabe churros around the rest of Disney World. Those imitations aren’t made fresh to order, and they often lack the consistency and crisp texture you want.
