Disney has increased the price of every Walt Disney World annual pass. The price for annual passes have increased by $10 to $120 depending on the pass type.
Here’s a full breakdown of the price hikes:
Pixie Dust: $499 (was $489)
Pirate: $909 (was $869)
Sorcerer: $1,139 (was $1,099)
Incredi-Pass: $1,749 (was $1,629)
New renewal prices weren’t available as of the publishing of this article.
The steepest price jump is found on the Incredi-Pass, which is the only pass without any blackout dates. This was already Disney World’s most expensive pass, and now it has jumped up by another $120.
This latest annual pass price increase will hit guests living outside of Florida the hardest. Out-of-state guests are only able to purchase the Incredi-Pass unless they’re Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members. DVC members are also allowed to purchase the Sorcerer pass.
We’ve always thought that the annual pass rules for out-of-state guests don’t make much sense. The majority of guests living outside of Florida can only purchase the most expensive pass. And yet, these guests are the ones who are most likely to spend the most at Disney World while on vacation. Why not give them a more affordable pass when you can assume they’ll already be locked in for a hotel stay and lots of dining?
While these price hikes are always tough to stomach, it has become a predictable business practice by Disney every October. Prices are going to keep going up. It just remains to be seen how much.
