New Disney Lakeshore Lodge Concept Art Shows Pool, Slide, Lazy River, and More

Updated:

Disney has shared a new piece of concept art for Disney Lakeshore Lodge! The new art offers a view from the perspective of Bay Lake, and gives us a great look at the resort’s pool area. But, we have a lot of new questions based on what we’re seeing.

To recap, Disney Lakeshore Lodge is supposed to “celebrate the beauty and magic of nature” according to Disney. Subtle “nods” from movies such as Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brother Bear will be seen around the resort. The resort will have over 900 rooms that include studios, suites, and Lake Houses (cabins).

Back to the concept art. Let’s start with what’s now confirmed. Disney Lakeshore Lodge will have a lazy river and a waterslide. That confirms what we’ve seen from aerial pictures of Disney Lakeshore Lodge over the last several months.

There’s no question that this will be one of the best pool areas in all of Walt Disney World. That slide looks like a blast!

The art also gives us the best look at the A-Frame cabin accommodations (known as Lake Houses) that will sit along the edge of Bay Lake. These remind us a lot of the Copper Creek cabins seen over at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

It’s a safe guess that these will be the most difficult to book (and most expensive) accommodations at Disney Lakeshore Lodge. We’re looking forward to getting a better look at what’s inside these premium spaces. And we can’t wait to see the view.

But, this new art also raises as many questions as it answers. For starters, we think palm trees surrounding the pool area seems like a bit of an odd choice. Palm trees don’t really give the vibe of the movies Disney has mentioned they’re using for inspiration. Seems too tropical.

We can also see what appears to be a waterfront restaurant. It looks like this is a table-service restaurant. What theme will this dining spot have?

Remember when the old rumors called for a Tiana restaurant? We think Disney would have mentioned Tiana theming if that’s the direction they were going here, so we’ll have to wait and see what this becomes.

We’re also wondering what’s going on with the resort’s dock. Zoom in and take a look.

Who parked their yacht here? Leave your guess in the comments. What a strange thing to include in the concept art.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge is scheduled to open in just about a year in Summer 2027.
