Work is slowly progressing on the new Monorail station at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is still an active construction site as crews continue to refurbish the resort’s rooms and build the brand new Monorail station. The old Monorail station has been completely demolished and the new platform is starting to take shape.

Standing below the Monorail beams, we can see supports rising up and where the new platform has been placed.

Shifting to a different angle, we can see there’s still a lot of work to be completed before the Monorail can stop at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

Disney’s concept art for the front entrance of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort shows the new station and the porte cochere.

Only the DVC portion of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort are open as of the date of this article. The remaining portion of the resort, as well as the refurbished rooms featuring Moana, will reopen in Summer 2021.

We’re excited to see all the changes coming to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
