The Atlantic Dance Hall on Disney’s BoardWalk will no longer be open to the general public. The venue, which is currently a late-night entertainment spot for adults to enjoy some cocktails, music, and dancing, will shift to private events only beginning October 1, 2026.

Beginning Oct. 1, Atlantic Dance Hall will end its regular weekend operations. Atlantic Dance Hall will continue to be available for private events through Disney Meetings & Events and Disney Fairy Tale Weddings.

The change lines up with the opening of Hurly-Burly on October 1. Hurly-Burly will serve as a family activity spot during the day, but will transform into a 21+ venue beginning at 9pm. At night, Hurly-Burly will host live musical acts. Disney says musical genres will change nightly, but it remains to be seen what kind of vibe is found inside Hurly-Burly.
Disney’s concept art seems to depict Hurly-Burly as a more of a leisurely spot to enjoy a drink. There isn’t even a dance floor in the art. That’s a big difference compared to the DJs, video screen, lights, and disco ball found at the Atlantic Dance Hall.
The Atlantic Dance Hall’s days as a regularly-operated venue have always felt numbered. While we have routinely seen it pretty busy, it’s a big space. It has two floors and even an incredible upstairs balcony that overlooks Crescent Lake. We’ve often felt Disney doesn’t really know what to do with the Atlantic Dance Hall despite it being one of the few true late-night spots.
We’re some of the few who will be sad to see Atlantic Dance Hall close up its regular operations. It’s a must-do when we have a group with us. It’s also a big miss for the bachelor and bachelorette groups who would make their way over after EPCOT closes. The DJs, music videos, and surprisingly-affordable drinks made it a popular spot to end a great day in Disney World. Somehow we doubt Hurly-Burly will have a similar vibe.
