Video: Mad Tea Party Halloween overlay for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Updated:

The iconic Mad Tea Party ride at the Magic Kingdom received a special overlay for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Joining in on the Halloween fun, the Mad Tea Party received some fun lighting and music packages that completely transform the ride into a more spooky and festive experience.

This addition to the Mad Tea Party, similar to the Halloween changes on the Pirates of the Caribbean, are unique to this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Below is one example of the new fun on the Mad Tea Party, though there are several different lighting and audio packages.

And here’s an on-ride view:

Pretty fun, right? It’s amazing how a change of lighting and music can make a familiar ride feel new again.

This also provides some insight into what we should expect on Alien Swirling Saucers when it debuts some holiday lighting and music over in Toy Story Land later this year.

Here’s hoping Disney continues to add these types of experiences for its special events.
