Splash Mountain Characters No Longer in Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade

The full version of Mickey’s “Boo-to-You” Halloween Parade returned for the 2022 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The parade, which is the first fully staffed parade at Walt Disney World since 2020, features all of the floats guests know and love.

Despite the parade operating at full staff, the characters from Splash Mountain were removed from the lineup. Br’er Rabbit, Br’er Bear, and Br’er Fox are no longer in the “Boo-to-You” Halloween parade. The three Splash Mountain characters used to be in the Frontierland portion of the parade prior to 2020. Now, this section’s roaming characters includes Chip, Dale, and the Country Bears.

The change comes as Disney continues to distance itself from Splash Mountain. Disney previously announced that the Splash Mountain attraction will be replaced by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in both Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom. The change is supposed to be complete in both locations by late 2024. We expect an update on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure during the D23 Expo 2022 in September.
