Guests visiting Walt Disney World will be able to celebrate Halloween earlier than ever in 2024. Disney has announced the dates for the 2024 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties, and the fun will begin on August 9 and run through October 31.
The August 9 start date is the earliest Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World. The event has gradually moved from a late August start to a new early August start over the last few years. For reference, Halloween began at Walt Disney World on August 11 last year. Seven years ago in 2017 it started on August 25.

- September 2, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 26, 27, 29
- October 1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 29, 31
Disney shifting the start of its Halloween festivities deeper into the summer season will allow for guests with school-aged children a better chance to attend. But, as Len Testa noted, the first Halloween party on August 9 is closer to Memorial Day (74 days) than it is to Halloween (83 days). Hope the chocolate candy doesn’t melt!
