The rumors are true! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom will showcase a brand new fireworks show in 2019.
Disney has announced that the new show, which doesn’t have an official name at this time, will feature Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy as they explore a haunted house. Their adventure will be told through projections, lasers, lighting and (of course) fireworks.
Here’s the description of the new show:
“The show will take guests along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends – Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy – find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. The journey takes them from one room of the house to another, encountering dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains.”

The new show will end Happy HalloWishes‘ 14-year run as the nighttime spectacular at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The end of its run isn’t too surprising as it was starting to feel a bit dated compared to the state-of-the-art projection and lighting effects seen nightly during Happily Ever After. The new show will be able to utilize all of these additions during what sounds like a whimsical journey through the rooms of a haunted house.
While this announcement strictly focuses on Halloween, it suggests that the days are numbered for Holiday Wishes during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Expect a new fireworks show to arrive for the Christmas parties at some point in the near future.
