Height requirements for the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge attractions

Updated:

Disney has announced that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will officially open to guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on August 29, 2019. At that time, guests will be able to experience Smugglers Run, the Millennium Falcon attraction, before Rise of the Resistance opens at a later date.

Disney also released the height requirements for the two attractions.

Smugglers Run: 38″ or taller
Rise of the Resistance: 40″ or taller

By comparison, the height requirement for Smugglers Run is identical to the one for Slinky Dog Dash while the requirement for Rise of the Resistance matches the ones for Star Tours and the Tower of Terror.

The Rise of the Resistance 40-inch requirement may come as a surprise, but it has been billed as a ride that has quick movement, sharp turns, sudden stops and even a small drop. This doesn’t sound like your average Disney dark ride.
