All Walt Disney World Height Requirements for Rides and Attractions

Updated:

Walt Disney World theme parks and water parks feature a variety of rides and attractions for guests of all ages. However, some attractions have specific height requirements guests must meet before riding.

Be aware of the following height requirements when planning your Walt Disney World vacation. These are safety regulations every guest must follow. No exceptions will be made even if a guest is just an inch or two below the height requirement.

Rides that are not listed below do not have a height requirement. You can also view all of the height requirements for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.

Magic Kingdom Height Requirements

  • The Barnstormer – 35 inches
  • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – 38 inches
  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train – 38 inches
  • Space Mountain – 44 inches
  • Tiana’s Bayou Adventure – 40 inches
  • Tomorrowland Speedway – 32 inches
  • TRON Lightcycle Run – 48 inches

EPCOT Height Requirements

  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind – 42 inches
  • Mission: SPACE – 40 inches
  • Soarin’ Around the World – 40 inches
  • Test Track – 40 inches

Animal Kingdom Height Requirements

  • Avatar Flight of Passage – 44 inches
  • DINOSAUR – 40 inches
  • Expedition Everest – 44 inches
  • Kali River Rapids – 38 inches

Hollywood Studios Height Requirements

  • Alien Swirling Saucers – 32 inches
  • Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – 38 inches
  • Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster – 48 inches
  • Slinky Dog Dash – 38 inches
  • Star Tours – 40 inches
  • Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – 40 inches
  • Tower of Terror – 40 inches

Blizzard Beach Water Park Height Requirements

  • Chairlift – 32 inches
  • Downhill Double Dipper – 48 inches
  • Slush Gusher – 48 inches
  • Summit Plummet – 48 inches
  • Tike’s Peak – 48 inches or shorter

Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Height Requirements

  • Bay Slides – 60 inches
  • Crush ‘n’ Gusher – 48 inches
  • Humunga Kowabunga – 48 inches
  • Ketchakiddee Creek – 48 inches or shorter

Height requirements are in place for guest safety, and guests shouldn’t try to “boost” their child’s height in order to ride. Children who do not meet the height requirements may not be able to safely fit within the ride’s seat or safety restraints.

We’d also note that a ride’s height requirement is always indicative of the ride’s thrill level. For example, Rise of the Resistance has the same height requirement as the Tower of Terror (40 inches). But, we’d say the Tower of Terror is the much more intense ride.
