Disney has scheduled a refurbishment for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at the Magic Kingdom. The ride will close on November 2, 2026, and it will remain closed until sometime in December. Tiana’s Bayou General will also be closed beginning November 2.
In addition to the exact length of the closure being unknown, the details about the refurbishment are currently a mystery. We’re used to Disney taking water rides offline for routine maintenance during the colder months, but this will be the first time Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has entered refurbishment. We’re hoping Disney addresses some of the many issues plaguing the attraction.
There’s no question that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has had its struggles ever since it opened in June 2024. The animatronics are routinely out of sync or completely broken. It’s unfortunate because the ride really depends on its key animatronics working. The ride’s story, which is confusing at best, isn’t strong enough to make guests ignore Tiana hitting a T-Pose or staring off into space.
