The villas at Disney’s Beach Club Resort are getting a facelift. Disney has announced that the villas will undergo refurbishment beginning January 7, 2023 and lasting through April 2023.
Below is the official announcement from the Walt Disney World website:
From January 7, 2023 through early April 2023, Disney’s Beach Club Villas will undergo refurbishment. During this time, Resort amenities will remain available for your enjoyment. While you may see or hear construction during daytime hours, you should not hear noise from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM.
Disney hasn’t announced what the updated villas will look like when the project is complete. It’s also unclear if the refurbishment will touch on any of the regular resort rooms, though it appears unlikely at this time. The regular rooms are just as ready for some TLC, especially compared to the nicer rooms at the nearby Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.
Disney has been gradually updating rooms at a large number of its resorts. Many remodels have introduced basic character theming into the rooms, such as the Moana rooms at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, the rooms based on The Incredibles at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and more.
Updates are also coming to the rooms at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, but it’s unclear when that project will get underway.
Few will argue that the villas at Disney’s Beach Club Resort are due for an update. However, Disney fans are right to be nervous given some of the recent remodels around Walt Disney World that stripped immersive theming from themed locations in favor of more modern and plain designs.
