Are the Pools Heated at Disneyland Resort Hotels?

Are you planning to stay at one of the Disney hotels around Disneyland Resort? Disney operates three hotels – Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. Each location offers a variety of amenities, such as a close walk to the parks, but let’s talk about the pools.

Each Disney hotel at Disneyland Resort offers at least one pool for their guests. The pools are open year-round and yes, the pools are heated! The Disneyland pools are heated to about 82 degrees, which is the same temperature as the heated pools at Walt Disney World resorts.

Plenty of guests were using the hotel pools during our February visit at the Grand Californian Hotel (read our full review). Admittedly, the temperatures were very warm during the day, but they dropped into the low 50s in the evening. That didn’t stop guests from swimming all the way up to closing time. We would’ve enjoyed some pool time if we weren’t spending all hours at the parks.

California’s weather allows for guests at Disney hotels to swim throughout the year. However, the pools may close for refurbishment or may close early during particularly cold weather. We recommend checking the pool schedule at your hotel when checking in.
