New Baby Giraffe Tucker Debuts at Kilimanjaro Safaris

Updated:

Baby animal alert at Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Tucker, a Masai giraffe, made his debut in Kilimanjaro Safaris this week, and is sure to be a new guest favorite. Have you spotted Tucker strolling alongside his mother, Mara, while on a safari?

Tucker is the first giraffe born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom since 2021. His birth is yet another important milestone in Disney’s conservation efforts.

Tuckerโ€™s birth is really important for us. Itโ€™s a testament to Disneyโ€™s leadership in animal care and conservation and our incredible partnership with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and the Species Survival Plan. This plan focuses on maintaining genetic diversity of the giraffe population and helping to prevent giraffes from becoming extinct.

Dr. Mark Penning, Vice President of Disneyโ€™s Animals, Science and Environment

This marks the third baby giraffe that Mara has delivered at Walt Disney World since she arrived in 2015. Remember when Jabari was born and made his debut in 2019?
