In what was a surprise to absolutely no one, the virtual queues for Bluey’s Wide World at Disney’s Animal Kingdom filled up instantly on opening day. Both the 7am and 10am virtual queue drops were completely full in roughly two seconds.
Disney has said the virtual queue for Bluey’s Wide World is temporary, but it’s unclear how long it’ll be needed. The shift to a standby line is only possible if demand drops significantly. With that in mind, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the virtual queue continue to be a battle for families for weeks to come. Hopefully that’s not the case.
We’ve discussed it before, but the Conservation Station simply isn’t built to host huge crowds of people. The area is relatively small and closes at 3:45pm each day. Add in the fact guests have to take the Wildlife Express (a train) to get to the Conservation Station, and you have a recipe for one of the most difficult virtual queues to secure.
That’s what makes the decision to host Bluey here so puzzling. Bluey continues to be one of the most popular characters for young children and even adults. Disney continues to underestimate just how many people love the Blue Heeler and family. Would a Bluey show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios make more sense? Probably, but for now we’ll have to sympathize with everyone trying to get a virtual queue for Bluey’s Wide World at Animal Kingdom.
