Disney didn’t waste any time demolishing the first portion of DinoLand USA at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Shortly after construction walls went up in January, Disney got to work tearing down TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures.
Our favorite eye in the sky, also known as @bioreconstruct, captured an aerial view of the demolished parts of DinoLand USA.
The always-friendly Cementosaurus is now a very depressing pile of rubble. Few things are quite as sad as seeing the smiling dino in a big pile. RIP.
For now, the extinction event at DinoLand USA is contained to this area. Disney will begin working on the new Encanto attraction in this space, which is tentatively set to open with the new Tropical Americas land in 2027.
The rest of DinoLand USA has a bit more time before its extinction event. Disney has confirmed that DINOSAUR, the Boneyard, and Restaurantosaurus (our favorite themed quick service) will remain open throughout 2025. We recommend getting in those visits to Dr. Seeker soon as we think Disney will close things quickly once we hit 2026.
