The updated World of Disney store at Disney Springs had its grand reopening, showing off a completely reimagined space. The store now features lots of open space and new architecture, but also fun new projections and animated artwork.
Previously, we criticized the space for being a bit too empty and lacking character. With the grand opening, the store is now using projections and more color to bring some life to the space beyond the merchandise. The change is a welcome one.
Watch the video below to see the projections that appear on the walls, signs and even on the floor. The Christmas area in particular does a great job of adding movement and life to the holiday section of the store.
The video above doesn’t even include one of the most fun features – Tinkerbell bringing artwork to life.

It will be interesting to watch how the store evolves as the seasons and products change. The addition of projections should allow World of Disney to update things regularly, adding new life to the store itself. A Christmas scene we see now could become a beach scene in the summer. Next Halloween could see bats and spooky ghosts on the walls. The possibilities with this kind of technology are endless.
What do you think of the new World of Disney?
