The music and story of Coco is coming to the Mexico pavilion at Epcot

Date:

The Mexico pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase will have a new musical presentation beginning on March 6, 2019.

Guests will be able to hear the music and story of Coco as told through the music of Mariachi Cobre and a pair of Folklรณrico dancers. Miguel himself will even make an appearance in the form of a hand-crafted puppet.

This offering is in addition to the traditional live mariachi music that’s heard daily at the Mexico pavilion.

It’s worth noting that this doesn’t indicate that the rumors suggesting a Coco ride will replace the current Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros attraction are coming to fruition. To date, there hasn’t been any additional movement on that topic. It was believed that Disney was deciding between a Coco overlay for the Mexico attraction and a brand new ride for Epcot’s United Kingdom pavilion. Most Disney insiders have indicated that the United Kingdom proposal is favored, with some reporting that the project may be officially in the works.

Regardless, it’s great to see more Coco at Walt Disney World.
