The Monsters Inc Laugh Floor facade has been removed in Tomorrowland

Updated:

Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom is going through a major transition. Ahead of the addition of the TRON coaster located near Space Mountain and the Tomorrowland Speedway, the entire area is slowly transforming its colors and appearance to match a new aesthetic. As a result, the old facade in front of the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor show has been removed.

The old facade stuck out into the main walkway taking guests into Tomorrowland, resulting in some bottlenecks on the park’s busiest days. As soon as the TRON coaster opens, these walkways will need to be heavily utilized and free from obstructions.

Below is a look at the initial work to remove the facade taken last week.

And here’s a look at what the walkway looks like now without the facade.

As you can see, the entire area looks more open without the old facade. A new sign will be added for Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, but it won’t be as obtrusive as the old facade that blocked a portion of the walkway.

More changes will be coming to Tomorrowland in the near future. The new look will use blues, whites and purples fairly prominently, as seen already on the relatively new Joffrey’s Revive coffee shop.
