The Jungle Cruise will remain open to guests during its update

Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley has provided new information on the update that’s coming to the Jungle Cruise at Walt Disney World. Riddley specifically noted that the Jungle Cruise will remain open to guests while changes are gradually made to the attraction.

Disney has previously said they expect the updates to be completed in 2021.

Riddley’s Instagram post also included new concept art featuring monkeys catching butterflies. Other altered scenes include skippers escaping an angry rhino and monkeys taking over a boat.

We’d expect the Jungle Cruise to be fully updated ahead of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021.
