Disney confirms the Jungle Cruise update will be completed in 2021

Updated:

Disney has released new information on the update that’s coming to the Jungle Cruise attraction. In addition to providing background on the iconic ride’s new characters, Disney has confirmed the refreshment will be completed in 2021 at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

Below is an excerpt from the story posted in the My Disney Experience app.

“Be on the lookout for these all-new Adventureland characters when they debut in the Jungle Cruise – taking place later in 2021 at Magic Kingdom Park in Florida and Disneyland Park in California.”

It was first revealed in January 2021 that the ride would be updated with “more humor, wildlife and skipper heart.” But, it was unclear when Disney planned to have the refreshed ride completed at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Other projects have been delayed and some, such as the Splash Mountain update, have no clear timeline.

Disney has said the ride’s updates will be made gradually and the attraction won’t need to be closed to guests.
