Photos show work on the Magic Kingdom theater has been cancelled

Updated:

It was previously reported that the theater project inside the Magic Kingdom at Disney World had been cancelled. That report, which you can read here, stated that though construction was starting to begin, Disney changed their mind and shelved the idea for a theater within the theme park.

Now, here’s some additional proof showing that the project has been cancelled, or at the least postponed.

The photo at the top of this page, courtesy of the folks at Blog Mickey, shows the current state of the location where the theater was supposed to go just off of Main Street. Compare that to the photo below that shows work starting on the site from back in February (also courtesy of Blog Mickey).

Note the lack of fencing and construction vehicles between the current photo at the top of the page and the one from February just above.

It looks like business as usual in the parking lot that was supposed to be the first theater within the Magic Kingdom.
