Tatooine Traders, the Star Wars gift shop at the exit of Star Tours in Hollywood Studios, is going through a significant remodel. That may be an understatement as the store is nearly empty as construction takes place.
The Star Wars merchandise normally found here has reportedly been relocated to other locations in Hollywood Studios.

The remodel will likely bring the store more in line with the changing theming of the park, removing the “studio-feel” that was previously in place. It’s a bit jarring to leave Star Tours to find a mostly empty gift shop that’s also a construction site, but Disney doesn’t have much choice since it serves as the primary exit to the attraction.
Though the long-term future of Star Tours and this gift shop remains up in the air following the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, it’s clear Disney wants to at least bring the store up to speed to more closely match the rest of the park’s theming.
