Groovy Paint Taking Over the Outdoor Limo at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Updated:

The Muppets takeover of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is impossible to miss at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Disney is adding a colorful, groovy paint job to the upside-down limo that welcomes guests to the ride’s courtyard.

You can feel the Electric Mayhem’s influence on the vibrant paint colors. As always, big thanks to @bioreconstruct.

Will Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’s trains match the colorful outdoor limo? It seems pretty likely. Disney will want guests to feel all the zaniness of The Muppets, and that should include updating the basic color scheme of the old coaster trains.

Meanwhile, the big guitar facade is going through a retheme of its own. The guitar is currently hidden behind scaffolding, but we know some psychedelic paint is being added. Check out Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’s new Muppets-influenced facade in Disney’s concept art.

Concept art for the updated exterior of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster featuring The Muppets

Disney has said that guests will be able to enjoy Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster starring The Muppets in Summer 2026. Based on that timeline, we’re expecting the coaster to be relatively similar to how it was with Aerosmith. A new soundtrack and pre-show should do a lot of the heavy lifting. Beyond that, the roller coaster will still roller coaster in the dark past various updated props.

We look forward to seeing how The Muppets translate to a high-speed thrill ride.
