Holiday Cavalcades bring festive cheer and large crowds to the Magic Kingdom

Updated:

Holiday cavalcades have debuted at the Magic Kingdom! These festive floats feature a variety of Disney characters wearing their holiday best. Guests may recognize these floats as small representations of the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

As seen with earlier cavalcades, these processions will pop up randomly throughout the day with no advanced notice. Unfortunately, once guests hear the music change for the floats, they’ll group up and abandon social distancing.

As much as we love to see holiday fun at the Magic Kingdom, those crowded streets are an issue. Walt Disney World has gone to great lengths to maintain social distancing in its queues, stores and restaurants. Those measures won’t mean much if Main Street U.S.A. is lined with guests each time a cavalcade comes through.
