Walt Disney World will resume its fireworks shows beginning on July 1, 2021. Magic Kingdom will welcome back Happily Ever After while Epcot will run a modified version of Epcot Forever (no kites, more pyro).
The fireworks shows at both Epcot and Magic Kingdom will take place nightly starting July 1. Disney did not mention any special fireworks for Independence Day as we’ve seen in previous years.
Epcot’s new nighttime spectacular Harmonious has been tested (video here), but won’t debut until a later date.
Disney has accelerated the return of fireworks at Walt Disney World. Several months ago, it was questionable whether Walt Disney World would have fireworks for its 50th anniversary in October. Then, as health and safety guidelines have been rapidly relaxed, that timeline was pushed all the way up into July.
No announcements were made about Fantasmic! or Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Nighttime entertainment also wasn’t mentioned for Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
