Disney has announced that Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge at Walt Disney World will reopen August 26, 2021. Previously, the DVC portion of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge was opened, but now the full resort will reopen to guests.
Reservations for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will open in the coming days.
The reopening hopefully means that the restaurants Boma and Jiko will also reopen in the near future. These two beloved restaurants have remained closed even while the DVC portion of the resort opened.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge joins a couple other resorts that are reopening this summer. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is scheduled to reopen on July 2, 2021. Shortly after, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is expected to reopen in late July 2021.
