It’s been quite a bit since we’ve checked in on Disney’s Blizzard Beach. The water park has been closed since January 2022 for a lengthy multi-month refurbishment. Now, we can take a look inside the park thanks to some new aerial pictures.
Earlier this summer, a crane was brought in for work replacing one of Blizzard Beach’s slides. These new aerial images from @bioreconstruct show that the slide replacement is done, but the crane’s job might not be done yet.

A paved pad near the crane’s current position suggests that there’s more work to be done.

Another overview of the park shows the water is still mostly clean despite the prolonged closure.

Rumors have suggested Disney might have plans for a new attraction at Blizzard Beach. No specific plans have been revealed, but the park is in dire need of something new. Competition has picked up in recent years (Volcano Bay) and even Disney’s other water park, Typhoon Lagoon, has had new attractions added (Miss Adventure Falls) in recent years.
Will Disney announce something new for Blizzard Beach at the D23 Expo 2022?
