How Long Is the Walk Between Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Yacht Club, Beach Club and BoardWalk Inn?

Updated:

One of the best perks of staying at a hotel in the EPCOT Resort Area is the proximity to two of Walt Disney World’s theme parks. Guests staying at Disney’s Yacht Club, Disney’s Beach Club, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, or the Swan & Dolphin Resorts can choose to walk directly to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.

How long does it take to walk to Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Does it make more sense to walk or to take a Friendship Boat?

Your times may vary, but this should at least offer a ballpark estimate for guests planning to arrive on foot. Our estimate is based on walking from the lobby of the resort to the front entrance of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Your exact times might be higher or lower depending on the location of your room.

Epcot Resort Walking Times

Disney’s Yacht Club to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
About 20-25 minutes

Disney’s Beach Club to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
About 25 minutes

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
About 15 to 20 minutes

Swan & Dolphin Resorts to Disney’s Hollywood Studios
About 15 to 20 minutes

As mentioned above, your exact walking time will vary. The size of your group, your walking speed, your room location, and whether or not you stop to take in the scenery may alter your travel time.

We’ve stayed in the EPCOT Resort Area numerous times and we generally estimate our walk to Disney’s Hollywood Studios will take about 20 to 30 minutes. If we have a dining reservation at the theme park, we’ll start walking from our resort about an hour before the reservation to ensure we make it on time after security and scanning into the park.

Walking or Friendship Boats?

Is it faster to walk or take a Friendship Boat? It’s practically a coin flip. The Friendship Boats usually make multiple stops around the EPCOT Resort Area, which can make the trip feel a lot longer. We’ve “raced” the Friendship Boats on foot and we’ve won some and lost some. Overall, we prefer to be constantly moving rather than stopping and starting on the Friendship Boats. Because of this we usually only take the boats on the hottest or coldest of Florida days.

Whether you walk or arrive by boat, make sure you take advantage of the EPCOT Resort Area’s amazing location.
