Disney Lakeshore Lodge Inches Closer to Reality

Updated:

Disney Lakeshore Lodge, Disney World’s newest Disney Vacation Club resort, is becoming a reality on the shores of Bay Lake. We’ve kept a close eye on the construction of Disney Lakeshore Lodge, and things are really taking shape! Let’s take a look at what’s going on with Disney’s newest hotel.

Friend of the site DC Baker was able to snap a bunch of pictures around Disney Lakeshore Lodge. We have some great new looks of the resort’s main lobby, its special A-frame accommodations, a new boat dock, and much more.

Let’s first take a look at the heart of the new resort as viewed from the water.

The core framing is in place, but this section of the resort doesn’t even have walls yet. While Disney hasn’t released any updated information about the lodge’s lobby or dining, this is where we expect guests will check in and enjoy dining and shopping.

Disney showed what the main entrance will look like through some concept art.

Moving to a different area of Disney Lakeshore Lodge, we can a lot of glass has already been installed! Lots of rooms already have their sliding doors in place.

The side of Disney Lakeshore Lodge closest to Disney’s Fort Wilderness resort is even further along. And yes, it absolutely towers over the quaint and rustic Fort Wilderness. Seriously. It’s impossible to miss.

Along Bay Lake, we can see that the A-frame accommodations haven’t changed much since we last looked back in June. These are expected to be similar to the cabins along the water at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge resort.

Overall, there’s still a lot of work left to do before Disney Lakeshore Lodge is ready to open. There’s also a lot to announce before Disney can start selling points to DVC guests wanting to make it their new home resort. What will the rooms look like? Has the theming changed at all when it was originally called Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge?

Disney Lakeshore Lodge is currently expected to open in 2027.
