Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Refurbishments Extended

Updated:

Disney has announced that the ongoing refurbishments at both Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort have been extended. Now, the work over at the Yacht Club is scheduled to last until late 2026 and the refurb at the Beach Club is supposed to into 2027.

Here’s the updated announcement seen on the Yacht Club’s page:

Disneyโ€™s Yacht Club Resort is undergoing routine exterior maintenance through late 2026. As part of this work, the porte cochere will be closed through October 2025. This work may impact views from various locations throughout the resort, and at times, alternate paths of travel may be in place.

And here’s the new announcement on the Beach Club’s page.

Disneyโ€™s Beach Club Resort is undergoing routine exterior maintenance through 2027. As part of this work, the porte cochere will be closed through September 2025. This work may impact views from various locations throughout the resort, and at times, alternate paths of travel may be in place.

Guests will likely notice scaffolding surrounding different areas of both resorts as work continues. This may close walkways around the two resorts, and could impact views from select rooms.

These updated announcements extend the timeline for the work that was already underway at both resorts. Crews have been working around both resorts all year. Stormalong Bay reopened in June 2025 after an extensive refurb, and the Yacht Club’s rooms have been updated with new touches.

We experienced the ongoing refurbs firsthand at the Yacht and Beach Club resorts on a recent stay. We didn’t find them to be too disruptive, but we could hear construction noise during daytime hours. Some walkways were closed along the outside of the buildings.

While these types of refurbs aren’t ideal (scaffolding doesn’t look the best in those vacation photos), we’ll continue to recommend both resorts to guests planning future visits.
