The new Disney Lakeshore Lodge hotel is quickly taking shape away from the eyes of most Disney World guests. Positioned on the shore of Bay Lake near Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) hotel already has a clear footprint and is rapidly climbing taller.
Some new aerial pictures from @bioreconstruct show just how fast construction is moving.
Another angle of Disney Lakeshore Lodge shows its close proximity to Tri Circle D Ranch and the rest of Fort Wilderness Resort.
Disney has been pretty quiet about Disney Lakeshore Lodge outside of confirming it’s supposed to open in 2027. The plans seem to match those from the previously-shelved Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge project. We imagine Disney will release more details and concept art after the current marketing push for the DVC Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort fades.
While construction on Disney Lakeshore Lodge speeds along, it’s a stark reminder that Disney can build out new projects quickly when they have the motivation to do so. We’ve seen new ride and attraction construction drag on and on (looking at you TRON Lightcycle Run), but Disney fast-tracks DVC hotels because they’re an immediate and significant source of revenue. We had hoped the development of Lightning Lane might help speed up ride construction, though that hasn’t panned out so far.
Look for new details about Disney Lakeshore Lodge to be released later in 2025.
