A troubling rumor has been circulating that the fun and games at Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge have been scaled back/removed. The restaurant that’s known for its rowdy servers and having to scream for your ketchup is reportedly transitioning away from the noise and into a more traditional setting.
When Disney fans asked about the change on Twitter, Disney provided a very generic response that neither confirmed or denied the change. Simply, they said they’re working on what’s next for the location.
Hi KC. We are continuously updating our offerings throughout Walt Disney World Resort and are currently working on what's next for Whispering Canyon. We apologize for any disappointments.

The rumor suggests that the change was made due to guest complaints. That’s frustrating as the description of the restaurant doesn’t try to hide what the experience is all about.
Here’s the current description on Disney’s website:
Gallop on over to this Old Western eatery for games and good eatin’ served with attitude.
Tether your trusty steed and mosey into this log-cabin lodge with rough-hewn charm and colorfully named Cast Members who have a reputation for sassing customers. Take your seat in a cowboy or Indian chair and get into some finger-lickin’ vittles. There’s plenty to go around! Just be careful what you wish for, especially if it’s ketchup.
Does anything about the above suggest a quiet, peaceful meal?
Whispering Canyon Cafe is a one-of-a-kind experience that helps make Disney feel like Disney. Should it transition into another character dining experience or a more peaceful experience, it’ll become just another one of countless options that offer the same thing.
Here’s an example of the ketchup fun that’s potentially going away:
