Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind finally has an opening date at Epcot! The new indoor coaster will open to the public on May 27, 2022.
Disney announced the opening date with a new commercial.
Disney also released a new summary on what guests will experience on Epcot’s first coaster.

Welcome to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! A massive, first-of-its-kind family-thrill coaster only possible at EPCOT, where the Guardians of the Galaxy need YOU to save humanity on an amazing journey across space and time. Get ready to rewind, rotate and head toward the action through an exciting space pursuit. This cosmic trip will be one of the largest fully enclosed coasters in the world, featuring the first reverse launch on any Disney coaster!
A series of previews should take place before the opening on May 27. Cast members have already been notified about previews, and we’d expect previews will also be held for Disney Vacation Club members and annual passholders.
Disney did not release any information on whether Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will use a virtual queue when it opens.
