Updated aerial view of the Space restaurant coming to Epcot

Aerial photos are one of the best ways to stay updated on the various construction projects at Walt Disney World. Such is the case of the Space restaurant (rumored to be called Space 220) that’s going in near Test Track and Mission: SPACE at Epcot.

Thanks to the updated aerial photo from @bioreconstruct, we can see that the building is starting to take shape and the foundation for the restaurant’s signature curve is progressing. Noted with a yellow arrow in the image above, the curved wall will feature “views into space” for guests.

We can also see that the restaurant will sit very close to the outdoor portion of Test Track. It will be interesting to see how well the noise from the Test Track ride vehicles is hidden from diners.

The concept art below shows what the restaurant will look like once completed. The current forecast calls for it to open in 2019.
