TRON Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom soft opened to the general public today, and its first virtual queue filled up almost instantly. The initial 7am virtual queue was completely full in about 3 seconds after it opened. The Individual Lighting Lane, which was priced at $20 per person, sold out in minutes.
Guests have two opportunities to join the virtual queue during the soft opening of TRON Lightcycle Run – 7am and 1pm. The virtual queue process will unsurprisingly be super competitive until the buzz of a new Magic Kingdom coaster fades.
The Individual Lightning Lane price of $20 for TRON Lightcycle Run matches the “normal” price of Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which is the highest-priced Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World. However, it’s worth noting that Individual Lightning Lane prices are dynamic and can change daily.
Disney appears to be running a reduced schedule for TRON Lightcycle Run during its soft opening period. This places additional pressure on the limited virtual queue space, so we’ll have to see what things look like when the ride officially opens on April 4, 2023.
