Themed Elements Removed From the Old ESPN Club at Disney’s BoardWalk

Change is underway at Disney’s BoardWalk. Themed elements on the closed ESPN Club restaurant are currently being removed ahead of a transformation of the space. Disney announced in March 2022 that The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers will replace the old ESPN Club.

A crane is positioned on the BoardWalk and recently removed the giant weights.

The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers will contain a bakery and table-service dining. The official website for The Cake Bake Shop says they expect to open in Walt Disney World in 2023.

Disney also announced more info on the new BoardWalk Deli that’s replacing the existing BoardWalk Bakery.

Disney hasn’t provided any specific dates for their changes to the resort’s lobby and rooms. Their original announcement said the changes will unfold over “the next few years.”
