Spring tails removed from Slinky Dog Dash trains for safety inspection

Updated:

You may have noticed a sad sight if you visited Toy Story Land recently. As reported by Blog Mickey, the spring tails from the Slinky Dog Dash coaster trains have been removed in order to conduct a safety inspection.

Cast members reportedly said the tails were removed to check their structural integrity.

If you’ve ever sat in the back of a Slinky Dog Dash train, you may have heard the spring tail bouncing around as the coaster ran along the track. We saw cast members gently pulling on each tail as the trains left the station in order to give the trains a bit of life as they pulled away. It’s possible that Disney wanted to check the wear and tear on these spring tails in order to find any problems before one popped up.

Hopefully the trains get their tails back in the near future.
