Plans filed for the new 14-story hotel tower by the Swan & Dolphin Resorts

New plans have been filed for the 14-story hotel tower that’s going to be built near the Swan & Dolphin Resorts. The tower will take over the previous site of the tennis courts and the event pavilions near the Fantasia Gardens miniature golf.

The 349-room tower will have over 20,000 feet of meeting space and a rooftop terrace that offers views of the nighttime shows at Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Below you can see the plans that were filed. Note that the Fantasia Gardens miniature golf courses are on the right of the image.

Below is the satellite view showing how the area looks now prior to any construction. The tower itself will sit where the tennis courts are while the parking lot will be expanded to take over the two structures at the bottom of the image.

Despite its height, the tower addition won’t be too big in terms of overall size. By comparison, the 349-room tower will seem tiny in terms of capacity compared to the 2,200+ total rooms found at the Swan and Dolphin Resorts.

The tower will have a very different look compared to the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. The concept art depicts glass being used heavily in its design, though we’ve only seen a couple early concepts.

The new tower is expected to open to guests in 2021.
