New concept art shared for Disney’s Riviera Resort

Disney’s Riviera Resort is a new Disney Vacation Club property that is expected to open in Fall 2019. Inspired by Europe’s Mediterranean coastline, the resort will sit near the Caribbean Beach resort, have access to the Disney Skyliner system and will offer nighttime fireworks views.

The official Disney Vacation Club Facebook page recently shared a quick video with a new piece of concept art for the resort.

Something grand is coming in 2019.

It’s kind of odd that the video is titled “A Grand Gingerbread House Experience” here, but we’ll assume that’s just a simple mistake. The video does share a new look at the front of the resort and the entrance to the main lobby.

While it’s far too early to make any assessments, we like the overall lighting scheme that’s depicted in the art. Hopefully that lighting, which helps make the whole place look more elegant, is seen in the final result.

Below is a look at the construction on the resort as seen in 2018.
