Monkeys found in a van at Grand Floridian Resort

Get ready to read one of the more bizarre stories to emerge from Walt Disney World. Click Orlando reports that three monkeys were found inside a van that was parked at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.

The monkeys belonged to a couple from Texas who was visiting family members at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. The two were sneaking their monkeys in and out of their hotel room each day, though it’s unclear which central Florida hotel they were staying at.

The monkeys were discovered when guests heard “animal noises” coming from the back of the van. Security spotted animal crates inside the van and notified the Sheriff’s Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife.

Thankfully, Florida Fish and Wildlife investigators found the monkeys were being taken care of and showed no signs of abuse or neglect. The couple was issued citations, but they were allowed to keep the monkeys due to them being cared for. The couple promised to leave Florida immediately.
