Guests won’t be able to re-ride attractions with Genie+ and Lightning Lane

Walt Disney World is getting ready to roll out its new premium line-skipping service. Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lanes will officially open to guests on October 19, 2021. Ahead of its launch, guests have a lot of questions about the paid service.

One of the biggest questions surrounds the ability to re-ride attractions using Genie+. Can a guest skip the line for the same attraction over and over again if they desire? Disney has confirmed that guests will not be able to re-ride attractions on the same day using Lightning Lane and Genie+.

This means guests will select an attraction and pick when they want to bypass the standby line from the list of available times. So, if we used Genie+ to skip the line for Haunted Mansion at 10am, we wouldn’t be able to pick Haunted Mansion again later that day. We’d need to wait in the standby line if we wanted to ride it again.

The inability to re-ride attractions is one of the key differences between the new Genie+ and the old FastPass+ system. Well, besides the cost.
