Guests experience multi-hour waits to book a stay at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

Pre-bookings are officially underway for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World. But, guests hoping to book their stay were met with enormous phone lines and lots of frustration.

October 7 marked the first time annual passholders and Disney Vacation Club members could book their galactic journey. These guests wasted little time trying to book their first few “voyages” for when the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser opens on March 1, 2022.

Phone lines were clogged almost immediately due to high demand. Many guests reported waiting hours just to speak to a cast member. Some reported waiting 2+ hours before being prompted with a disconnection message. Others received the unfortunate “all lines are busy” message after a multi-hour wait.

Despite the long waits, the maiden “voyage” for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser was sold out by the end of the day.

Summarized, Disney didn’t make it easy for guests to book this high-price offering. They reportedly set up specific cast members to handle Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser bookings, but that didn’t seem to help.

This raises the question about how things will go when the general public can make reservations beginning October 28. It also speaks volumes about how guests continue to flock to the latest Disney offering – despite high prices.
