Electrical Water Pageant to resume December 20 at Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World’s Electrical Water Pageant will resume operation on December 20, 2020 on Seven Seas Lagoon. The barges will once again navigate around the Magic Kingdom resort area after sitting idle since March.

Disney previewed the return of the Electrical Water Pageant by highlighting the 14 barges that make up the iconic water parade.

Jeff Vahle, President of Walt Disney World, shared his excitement that the original piece of Disney entertainment is returning.

The announcement comes after guests spotted various barges from the Electrical Water Pageant being tested at the beginning of December.

We love the Electrical Water Pageant. It’s an extremely simple production that uses basic technology to wonderful effect. While the show has changed some over the years, it’s mostly the same water parade guests have enjoyed since 1971. It’s classic Disney at a time when the company has been intent to move on from its roots.

Here’s to hoping the Electrical Water Pageant will keep on running for years to come.
