Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is expected to reopen in the near future! Disney is reportedly gearing up to reopen the popular water park for Summer 2021. A specific reopening time hasn’t been announced yet, but a date before the summer months end seems to be the current target. As always, this is subject to change until a firm date is announced.

As of today, Disney’s Blizzard Beach is the only source of water park fun at Walt Disney World. Blizzard Beach reopened on March 7, 2021 while Typhoon Lagoon has remained closed ever since Walt Disney World welcomed back guests in July 2020. Cast members will need to get the water park ready for guests after it sat closed for more than a year.

Disney preparing to reopen Typhoon Lagoon is the latest signal that things are returning to normal at Walt Disney World. This summer should see capacities increase, more restaurants and resorts reopen, and possibly the return of nighttime fireworks.

Look for an official announcement to be made in the near future.
