Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to reopen July 19, 2021, Monorail station won’t initially reopen

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort finally has a reopening date! The resort will welcome back guests beginning July 19, 2021 following a lengthy refurbishment. However, the resort’s Monorail station and front entrance to the Great Ceremonial House will reopen at a later date.

Guests at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort will stay in updated rooms themed to Moana. While the front entrance to the Great Ceremonial House won’t initially reopen, guests will be able to meet transportation under the new porte cochere. The guest-favorite ‘Ohana will reopen earlier in the month on July 9, 2021.

It’s not clear when Monorail service will resume at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Guests wanting to visit Magic Kingdom can do so by boat or by using the new walking path. Buses are the lone transportation option to Epcot while the Monorail station is closed.
