Daily Housekeeping Returning at Select Walt Disney World Hotels

Disney is bringing back daily housekeeping services at select Walt Disney World hotels. All deluxe hotels at Walt Disney World will begin receiving daily housekeeping starting in January 2023.

Moderate and value category hotels at Walt Disney World will continue to receive housekeeping on an every other day schedule. Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members staying in DVC accommodations will receive housekeeping on a schedule that varies based on length of stay.

Disney’s housekeeping services have been all over the place ever since Walt Disney World reopened in Summer 2020. Disney has been trying to stick to a “every other day” policy at the majority of Walt Disney World hotels, but that has been hit or miss based on guest reports.

We can personally vouch for a May 2022 stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge that saw housekeeping visit every third day, which didn’t match any Disney housekeeping policies. However, other guests have reported daily housekeeping during select stays at Disney’s value resorts, which also doesn’t match any current policies.

Guests planning an upcoming stay at Walt Disney World hotels should be aware that housekeeping services seem to vary. Disney’s latest move to bring back daily housekeeping at deluxe resorts should normalize things some, but housekeeping may continue to be a bit unpredictable until additional cast members are hired.
